Elegy for my Father

I never really knew you
I’ve been mourning since conception
The tears I shed today will only add to my collection
Of I love you’s you didn’t say
And of time spent by the door
Counting the passing seconds
But of course, you never came
You’ll remain my only villain
You’re just faded Sega games
Thrown at pastel plastered ceilings
By an angry adolescent
Compressing his bastard feelings
