Thump, Thump
Thump, Thump
Thump, Thump
You hear that?
That’s the sound of rebellion.
Fifteen Hundred hearts thump, thump,
thumping.
Three thousand feet, marching in unison
to the beat of revolution.
A clap of thunder waiting for its
signal.
A flash
Followed by
BOOM
KAT
KAT
Three thousand arms swinging like
overworked pendulums
Fifteen hundred voices chanting:
Followww
the—
We Shall—
Say it Loud, I’m—
Not gon’ bow down to no man.
Fifteen hundred beautifully brown faces
ready to swing their
Overworked pendulums like Three Thousand
worn and weary Babe Ruth Baseball bats.
Melancholy clouds drape the sky with
sorrow.
But Three Thousand boots bathed in pain trudge
on.
Sloshing in water up to their ankles.
Tears fell for forty days and forty
nights.
Flash flood warned,
wet feet forward marched.
Are you ready for Revolution?
BOOM
KAT
KAT
Cause it’s time.
