Red Cup League Graphic
Client: Red Cup League -- an R & B duo from Sacramento that's a part of much larger arts collective of filmmakers, musicians, and performance artists.
They came across my sketches on Instagram and asked if I'd do some work for them.Needless to say, I was excited about the opportunity. I had them send me some pics to sketch from, as well as links to their music, so I could really get a feel for who they were/ what they represent.
Sketches:
Originally there were three of them, hence the sketch, but now they're a duo. The finished graphic is below. They dug it.

OneNation Logo
Client: OneNation - Nonprofit
OneNation is a non-profit that aims to empower women, so they wanted a logo that reflected strength, solidarity -- and the like. I played with a handful of ideas:
I shot the thumbnails over to the client. They favored the thumbnails with the universal sign for " woman"in them, so I ran with it. These were the end results:

FAF Photography
So, I've decided it'd probably be a good idea for me to discuss my process a bit. Expect to see a brief rundown on everything I post from now on.
PROCESS
Client wanted a simple logo to use for their photography business: watermarks, business cards, etc. This is what they drafted:
This was my first stab at the design:
I used a simple font -- Helvetica I believe -- flipped the F, adjusted the "A" so its midpoint lined up with the "F's", through a drop shadow on it, some shine, a reflection under photography, and sent it back to the client.
They liked it, but wanted me to tone it down -- no shine, no outline.
This is the design we settled on:
The client was happy, so I was happy.
I'm still trying to wrap my head around the "logo/branding" process -- I really enjoy doing it. I only hope to improve.
